Hi,
I am upgrading a production db from Nav 2013 to Nav 2013 R2,.
After converting the Nav 2013 db to Nav 2013 R2 db, and performing the "Build server application objects" step, the error list shows the following error for many tables:
"Unable to verify table changes. To validate table changes for potential data-loss, Microsoft Dynamics NAV Development Environment must communicate with a running server. The specified Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server can't be reached."
I saw a link on internet providing a solution :

There are two methods to get around this error.
Start a Server Instance on your Developement machine using domain user account
Start a Server Instance on your SQL server using Network Service
But this isn't working in my case. ](*,)

I assume it's a single tenant db, right?
If I remember correctly, after converting the database, you should set the property (Tools/Options) "Prevent Dataloss .." to "No", since there is no risk to schema changes in an upgrade project like this. After that, compile your objects.
I strongly recommend to seqrch for the "How do I upgrade ..." video on partnersource for the further steps..
