RapidStart - Importing Large Amount of Data

We are deploying NAV 2013 R2 to several customers in the coming months. These customers have large amounts of data that needs to be converted from the existing system and imported into NAV. We want to develop one solution that can be deployed for all customers so that the implementation will be quick and semi-painless for everyone involved. I have been looking at RapidStart as a possible solution. I started with Vendors and created a Package and Worksheet for the Vendor Table. I exported the template to Excel. I have .txt file that contains my converted Vendor data from the old system. I want to get that data from the .txt into the Excel Vendor template but I do NOT want to cut and past the data. Is there a way, other than manual, to populate the Excel template?
