From a workstation (Windows 7) wanting to open an existing database on a networked SQL Server 2008 R2. After typing in the Server name and selecting either database login or Windows Authentication, when I attempt a lookup of the existing databases I receive the following message: "Your connection to the [servername] server is no longer responding. This can be caused by one of the following reasons:..." etc. If I type in the database name the connection is made. It happens when using NAV 2009 R2 exe and NAV 5.01 exe. This does not happen when using the NAV 2013 Development Environment exe. This began to happen after installing NAV 2013 rollup 6 and reverting back to rollup 5 earlier this week. It does not occur when I attempt a lookup to a locally installed SQL Server 2008 R2. The networked SQL Server is on a Window Server 2008 R2 with no updates applied since April 2013.
This issue seems to have been resolved after installing and uninstalling NAV 2013 R2.
