Currency Factor in NAV 2013

A client has a payment made in USD, in a EUR bank account.

In NAV 4 they could post this from the Cash Rcpt Jnl by using the Currency Factor, and Amount LCY fields.

These fields don’t appear in the Cash Rcpt Jnl in NAV 2013 (although they exist in the Gen. Jnl. Line table).

How should they post the payment? Can we just display the fields in the page, to let them proceed as in older versions of NAV?

    Hi,

adding the fields to the page should work fine.

    With best regards

As far as I can see, the Currency Code field is present on the Cash Receipt journal, and you can reach the currency factor by pressing the assist-edit button.

Thanks for the replies. We added the fields in the journal, and were able to proceed.

The assist-edit button works just as well - instead of editing the Amount (LCY), we can edit the Relational Exch. Rate Amount

This depends on how your currency exchange rate is set up. You can select this by the Fixed Amount option field. Also, you could just enter the desired amount (LCY) directly. This works as long as it's not a fixed currency against LCY.
