Invoice prints on 2 pages instead of 1

If you have been working with one the standard documents reports invoice, shipment ....
and you discover that after your editing the report now prints on 2 pages
instead of 1, which troubleshooting approach would you use to solve this problem.
What properties to check etc..

Please check the page width and height properties and also margins. Make sure (Body Width + Left margin + Right margin) <= (Page width)
