Whs Item Journal Negative Adj

hi all
i have location with with Direct put away and pick .
we have the Serial No. concept also.
Now we are doing Negative Adj from whs Item Journal with the Location for one Item. then the error is coming like
Microsoft Dynamics NAV Classic
Serial No. SI00056 is found in inventory .
OK
This is the same serial No which we did Positive Adj earlier.
Please guide me
