Hello,

I am working at an end-user in the RTC of NAV 2009 R2.
When it's necessary I can debug in the classic client. Now I want to investigate a page so I need to debug in the RTC. We do not have a license for visual studio.

Is it possible to debug with Visual Studio Express?
When searching through the internet different answers are found. One says it is possible and another says it is not possible.

I have tried it with Visual Studio 2008 Express and I can't find the possibility to attache to a running process.

Thanks in advance.

It was possible in older Express versions, which had the Attach to process option.
In newer Express versions Microsoft has removed that option.
So if you can find an older Express version, then you can.

    Thanks for your answer.

I will search for an older version which includes the attach process functionality.

Have you found the older version that has it? I've installed 2008 SP1 but, as you found out, it has to Attach to Process option :(

    Hello Shadman,

Unfortunally I didn't find a older version which has the 'Attach to process' option.
