How to increase size of checkbox

This is for using forms on an IPAD. Users find it difficult to tick the boxes with a stylus.
I have attempted to increase the size, but that only increase the size of the box around the checkbox.
Suggestions? I am thinking of using command buttons to simulate checkboxes.
