We upgraded from .9.9 to 1.7.1 and now have a problem when creating a batch of customer letters. Some of the files are blank. The letters are emailed to customers as part of the process, so this is not a good thing. There is not pattern to the blank file creation. The process has been run, for testing purposes, multiple times. Sometime it will cause a blank file to be created for a customer; sometimes it is the expected letter.
The letters are created by a PC with Windows 7. We use NAV 2009. We did not have this problem until the PDFCreator upgrade. However a zero byte file is passed to PDFCreator from NAV, according to the admin who observed PDF Print Monitor.
I have noted that blank files are created if non-Ascii characters are in the file name with newer versions of PDFCreator. There are no non-ascii characters in the file name.
We have checked customers for whom a blank file was created, and the customer met the conditions for a report to be created.
Suggestions? Has anyone else seen this?
