NAV2009 and NAV2013 on same SQL server

Hi,
I have couple of NAV2009 databases running on SQL server, so could I install NAV2013 with same server?
The versions are per database, but how about new version of SQL Server Database Components -installation.
Could I be sure that current environment is still online, after new 2013 DB Components installation has performed or could I skip this part of installation?
Mainly: Is there something totally changed with these two versions?
