NAV Automated Testing Script

infonoteinfonote Member Posts: 233
Hi,

In NAV 4.03 or later, is there a way to set up automated testing scripts? I suppose there is nothing built in, but is there an add-on/extension that can be used.
By automated testing script, I mean for example, posting a number of sales orders with pre-set data.

Thanks in advance
Peter

Since NAV 2009 SP1 we have the testability features in the platform. Next to that MS release for both NAV 2009 SP1 and NAV 2013 the ATT (Application Test Toolset), which can be downloaded form PartnerSource.

Thanks for the quick reply. It was my mistake I did not specify correctly. Is there a similar approach available for NAV 4.03?

I assumed this already and that's why I wrote:

But as it is a platform thing, you could consider moving to NAV 2009 SP1 (or R2) platform. However, in general the ATT will not work as it is application test code for at least NAV 2009 SP1.
