Batch jobs - need some explanation

Hi
I have a class.
1) What will happen is it's designed to be run on server(runsImpersonated = true), but as I don't have a dedicated batch server, I'll schedule it to be run on client by setting the Batch group to be executed via Basic->Periodic->Batch processing?
Do I understand this correctly:
2) to schedule my batch job to be run on client it's enough to schedule a batch group via Basic->Periodic->Batch processing? (providing that my batch job belongs to the group i setup in Batch processing)
3) My job will not be executed once I close my client application
