hi all
i am a little confused in defining bill of materials.
when we create a new item in item card( inventory), how do we specify that that particular item is a bill of matreial or not.
You need to add at least one component into assembly list (Item card - Item - Assemlby list - Bill of Material). Field "Bill of Material" is calculated field, it is true, if at least one component for this item exists... :-)
its alright , i can now define whether an item is a BOM in item card.
whats the differnce between manufacturing BOM and Inventory BOM,
can we copy BOM of an item defined in manufacturing to item card.
Is there any need for our client to buy separtae BOM granule for production and manufacturing.???
Granules:
5,420 Basic Manufacturing - Production BOM
4,060 Inventory - Bills of Materials
Differences:
Inventory BOM is only simple Assembly list. For Material is used Negative Adjmt. for created item is used Positive Adjmt. No more links are between material and product.
