Bitmap In Navision

Hi All,
Can anyone explain how does bitmap works in navision ? If i want to add a different picture in any module how can i do that .I have read all the postings on the bitmap on the forum but still unable to change the image in the modules.Can we only choose the bitmap from 1 to 14 which is standard navision or is there any way of adding a different image ?
Any help is highly appreciated .

Yoc can use bitmap properties of some controls only to show bitmaps stored in resources part of fin.exe. There was a list of other available bitmaps contained somewhere on the internet.

I presume you'd like to add and use your own bitmaps. Well, using the bitmap property you're allowed to use only the ones in fin.exe. You can user some utility like Resource Hacker to view and try to edit the ones existing in the file, but I wouldn't reccomend doing this, because when you'll be applying hotfixes or improvements to files you'll loose all the bitmaps you added to files.

If you want to use bitmaps you choose add a BLOB field in the table to store the picture you want to use. Th important thing is that if you want to refresh a picture or even show it on a form, or anywhere else you MUST use CALCFIELDS function. You can add any BMP file, using file name instead of bitmap no. See online help for "Bitmap" property of Image control...
