Problem with Reordering Columns for User Roles

I am attempting to reorder the columns on a page based on the role of the user. I am a "SUPER" user and have given myself ownership of the profile. When I run RTC with the profile in configuration mode, I am able to reorder the columns and they are still reordered if I leave and return. However, when I run RTC with the same profile in normal mode, the colums appear in their default order. Is there some step that I am missing in order for the columns to appear in the custom order when I'm not in configuration mode?

When you are running in normal mode (not in configuration mode) have you tried resetting/deleting the personalisation settings?
