NAV 2013 - Users can post outside their User Setup range

we recently upgraded to NAV 2013 environment, and just encountered a posted invoice that was posted in June 2012 by a particular user. It ended up that she mistakenly hit '12' instead of '13' and NAV allowed the mistake to go through. We checked the User Setup page and confirmed that this particular user was restricted to post no earlier than March 2013. After a little more investigation on a test company, we discovered that anyone who has permission to post can post earlier than the dates allowed in the User Setup table. This issue affects Sales, Service and PO posting.

Does anyone have ideas of what might be wrong? In NAV 2009 we solved these issues with the User Setup table, but it looks like we are missing something new here.

    Had this experience last week.
Having upgraded, NAV now sees users not as a simple user name like UName but as DOMAIN\UName
In all user lists reselect them and this then works fine.

Thank you very much - this solved our problem. I went to the User Setup list, opened it for editing and changed each username from UName to DOMAIN\UName as suggested and the problem went away.
Did you check General Ledger Setup also?
I checked this, and we are set up the same way as in our old NAV, which did allow posting back to 2010. Is there any reason not to leave this setting? We would like the option for our head bookkeeper to adjust her posting date if needed for certain circumstances. If it is contributing to the problem we can change it.
