Dear Friends,

Anyone can share your experiences using SQL Server 2012 for Navision 2013 ?

Is there any significant differences between using the standard or enterprise version ?

Thanks.

I have always used Standard. I have never been responsible for any sites with 100 plus users like some of the forum members. NAV does not require any features that are not in Standard.
How many users do you plan to support and what is your projected workload?
What advanced features are you thinking of using that come in the premium editions?

    Hi Davmac,

    Thank you for your reply.

Currently we are working for a distribution company. It's about 50 users and 17 branches.
The workload is quite high, with the customization of serial number (item tracking) and services.

We also plan to use the excel power pivot for doing some reports. But sharepoint is not in the scenario.

    Is standard version enough ?

    Thank you.

Unless they really need an "enterprise only" feature, I think the cost difference of SQL 2012 Enterprise will shy many sites away from it.
There are no bugs - only undocumented features.
