NAV2013 create new database

Hi

This might be a stupid question :oops:

I have installed nav2013 and everything works perfect with the "Demo Database NAV (7-0)" database.

When I in the development environment choose "File" -> "Database" ->"New" and create a new database it creates the database with some core tables I then create the company and here I kinda expected the tables to be created but nothing happens :^o

Any ideas?

Creating a database does not create business logic. Nor does a company.

To have tabledefinitions, pages etc you need to import a FOB file.

So what would be best practise if I want to create a new database with a clean company?

Copy an existing database?

Exactly what you did. Create a new database, import the FOB file and create a new company.
