wrt to the above point, in NAV 2013, The following info is given in the help.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
When the planning system detects demand at a location (a line with a location code), it will behave in different ways depending on 3 critical setup values.
During a planning run, the system checks for the 3 setup values in sequence and plans accordingly:
Is there a check mark in the Location Mandatory field?
If yes, then:
Does SKU exist for the item?
If yes, then:
The item is planned according to planning parameters on the SKU card.
If no, then:
Does the Components at Location field contain the demanded location code?
If yes, then:
The item is planned according to planning parameters on the item card.
If no, then:
The item is planned according to: Reordering Policy = Lot-for-Lot, Include Inventory = Yes, all other planning parameters = Empty. (Items using reordering policy Order remain using Order as well as the other settings.)

The current setup in my Db is as given below.
• Location Mandatory = Yes
• No SKU is setup.
• Component at Location = BLUE
Demand is at FG location
The demand is from the Production forecast on FG location.
Even now, the item is planned according to planning parameters on item card with FIXED RE-ORDER QUANTITY, WITH RE-ORDER QTY= 1000,.
It is suggesting planning line with quantity of 1000 on FG Location.
The production forecast quantity is 360 on FG location.
There is 1 blanket sales order for 100 on FG Location.
Since the demand is at a location which is different from the components at location, according to the help, the system should suggest with LOT-FOR-LOT reordering policy with INCLUDE INVENTROY =YES and with blank parameters.
Can anyone please let me know why it is suggesting the re-order quantity in Planning Lines

I have tried the same scenario and system did not consider lot for lot when the locations are different. System Suggests the re-order quantity in the planning line and does not consider the demand in FG location.By using the new parameter "Respect Planning parameters" in the calculate regenerative plan request form it considered the demand in the FG location and also suggested other line for Reorder quantity too. I guess this is missing in the help documentation.
