Dear Mibuso members,
Question
How do I correct the output (quantity) of a Released Production Order so that my finished quantity on the line is updated?
Explanation
On our plant, employees of the production department do post the output of a production order. This is done manually. Sometimes, the do post in stead of 1 Unit (pallet) 2 units (2 pallets). The reason is unknown .... The result is that the Finished quantity is 2 in stead of 1. The question is: how can i reverse 1 unit in such a way that the "Finished quantity"on the production line and in the statistics is 1?
I tried to do this by making a negative correction via het Item Journal, but it didn't work!
I look forward to your answers
Kind regards

In the output journal, you can select the production order no, enter the quantity equal to -1. Select Applies-to-Entry no of the entry which is to be reversed. Then post the output journal. The system will post negative output and the finished quantity will be reduced by one.
Check if the consumption is posted for 2 units or only for one unit.

Thanks! This is indeed what I was looking for! I still do have a question.
In our company the "quantity" on the released production header is an "expected" quantity (e.g. 10 units). Based on this quantity (copied to the line), the expected consumption is calculated. The consumption is partly posted "Manual" or "Backward"
During the production order, output is posted. At the end the real output quantity is known (e.g. 9 units). The value in the field "Quantity" (on the line) is 10 and the value of field "Finished quantity" is 9. Due to the fact that the consumption is based on the field "Quantity" (line) with a value of 10, I do have to change the value in this field into the value of "Finished Quantity" (so 10 becomes 9). If I do that:
1) the consumption with Flushing Method Backward is posted correctly.
2) I do have the right statistics;
This way of working is very error prone. Isn't there a better way to update the field "Quantity" after (item ledger) entries are made?
I look forward to your answer!
Kind regards!
