Unable to start NAV 2013 service

Hi everyone,

I am trying to start NAV 2013 service and getting the following error message:

The Microsoft Dynamics NAV Business Web Services service on Local Computer started and then stopped.  Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service.

What shall I do?

Hi there,

I also was getting the same error when i tried to run the NAV2013 service for the first time. The reason i found was that my Nav 2009 service was also running at the same time.
I simply stopped the Nav 2009 service and started the Nav 2013 service and it worked.

You can give it a try .

There can be many reasons why it won't start.
Look in Windows application log, it usually tells what the problem is.
