I 've read a lot of postings here regarding this (my) issue and I fully understand the technical reason behind it. But still, content wise I found no answer/solution for it (my apologies if I didn't search hard enough).
My situation is as follows. Item B is produced using Item A, therefore Item A is in the production BOM of item B (Logically). Item B is some sort of Upgrade of item A but still an extra item with costs, prices, ledger entries... of its own. Sometimes it is necessary (and possible in the real world) that item B gets "downgraded" back to item A. Consequently item A has to be in the production BOM of item B - where the famous "Max. Levels in BOM Structure on 50..." error pops up.
Any ideas how to solve this issue?
