Hi all,

I am currently trying to find a way to deal with this:
- A company scans all the items as they arrive from the vendor ( warehouse receipts-POs)
- the barcodes can not be repeated
- suddenly two different items (with separate barcodes) need to be dealt as a bundle (BOM) in sales terms, they can't be sold separately
- The sales channel will use one of the BOM component's barcode to identify the sale product
- There is a constraint that the barcodes can not be repeated in the system (one barcode - one item)

So I thought... well, can we block an item from being received or from being shipped?
like... if it is a BOM, it can't be received or if it is a BOM component, it can't be sold?...

is there any standard way to do this? I know this process may have a few flaws but there are many constraints involved and it is quite hard to make everybody happy...
