How does NAS check the license?

Hi guys,
we've got several NAS installed. Some need to run all the time in parallel, some not. Thus we scheduled some of them to start at some point in time and stop again later on. As NAS wouldn't stop during a transaction, sometimes one NAS is still running when another one tries to start. In that case the second one shouldn't start and normally it doesn't due to the following error message:
So, that's exactlly what we want to achieve. But from time to time the second NAS is able to login although the license doesn't allow more. I know that NAV checks during login how many NAS are logged in and how many are allowed in the license. Does anybody know how exactlly this check works and why it could be possible to login more NAS than allowed in the license?

I don't know how this mechanism exactly works, but if you have one NAS session in the license - this session is reserved only for a NAS and other users can't use it. But NAS can use sessions dedicated for the users. And I think you've got this error message when too many users working in the same time, and NAS can't get free session.Rafał

This doesn't belong to the users. My problem is that I don't want the NAS to be logged in as long as there's another NAS logged in. That normally works fine and I get the message above. But sometimes NAS is able to login although it shouldn't as the license doesn't allow more NAS's."Money is likewise the greatest chance and the greatest scourge of mankind."0
