Hi
For an existing customer I would like to install the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 W1 Virtual Machine on the customers PC. This is just to "play" with the new solution.
As far as I understand, this needs a Hyper V environment. Does anybody know whether there still exist the possiblity of a simple Virtual PC Box for that as in the old days?
Thanks in advance
Thomas

The server components of NAV 2013 can only be installed on a 64-bit OS. That's the reason you can't use Microsoft VirtualPC, as this doesn't support 64-bit OS'es. The Hyper-V image can be converted to VMware or VirtualBox if you can't (or don't want to) run Hyper-V.

    Hi Luc
Thanks a lot. Can you recommend a tool to convert to VM-Ware?

VMware vCenter Converter, which is free.

    Hi
Eventually I got a Windows 8 machine and used the hyper v there...Before I have tried to convert the machine, but with no success, but probably I was my fault.
