Hi,
I have a NAV2009 R2 database, client build 33116. I have an Item with one Reservation Entry that I want to rename. When I rename this item NAV changes the Item No. of all Reservation Entries below the Reservation Entry belonging to that Item to the Renamed Item. So also Reservation Entries that belong to a complete different Item.
This is done in the Classic client. When I try it in the RTC I get the following error:
"You cannot rename record No. = 'xxxx' in the Item Table, because that would in turn change record Entry No. 'xxxx', Positive='Yes' in the Reservation Entry Table, and your application is set up to track changes to Reservation Entry. You can work around this temporary limitation of the Dynamics NAV Server by 1) manually breaking links from any record in the Reservation Entry table to Item No. = 'xxxx', 2) doing th rename, and then 3) reestablishing the links. Alternatively, you can perform the rname using Dynamics NAV Classic. (Select Refresh to discard errors).
Has anyone noticed this before?
