Dear Experts,

We are retailers for gaming softwares, consoles like xbox, playstation, Now we are planning to start the Trade-In only for used games with customers.who could sell us their used softwares and we will assign them credit note or points. which they can redeem against any software in any our stores.

I was looking for this kind of solution, we are using NAV 5 with LS Retail. We are based in UAE.

Please let me know if somebody knows this kind of solution or if i get a reference. With the current support team. they are trying to give solution within Nav and which is not good for long term.I think customer database and their credit notes should be maintained separately. Please let know if somebody knows something of that sort.

Regards,
Fahad

Why is this not good for you for the long term? LSRetail should be able to handle gift cards with points easy enough and allow customers to redeem them. Breaking that data out into a separate system seems counter to the purpose of owning an ERP.

    Dear Dakkon,

Thanks for the reply,we want that customer if he/she wants to redeem points partially, it should be possible. But the team here says that that's not possible.Customer has to redeem all the points if he plans to redeem and not partially.

They said there is one possibility, If in case partial redemption is required then the store staff will have to generate a new voucher and give it to customer. If for example customer has 500 points, if he uses 6 times then every time new voucher will be generated. Which i think is not a good flow.

Also we have to give points to the customer when we buy from them.

The strength of NAV is it's customisability.

Is it possible to make some small changes to LS Retail to get this working for you? Or discuss it for a new release?
