Error when receipting Purchase Order

I am getting the following error when I post a Purchase Order.
I have a sales order for an item and have created a purchase order to buy the item. I have created a reservation for the item reserved against the sales order.
When I post the Purchase Order I get the following error:
Applies-to Entry must not be filled out when reservations exist in Item Ledger Entry Entry No.='100'
Any advice would be appreciated
I should also point out that the item I am trying to reserve against is set to Reorder Policy = Lot For Lot, Include Inventory = TRUE and Reserve = Always
