Using the
Create Tab button I can customize/configure the ribbon of a page to have more tabs on the ribbon than the standard 4: Home,Actions,Navigate and Report. See also
How to: Customize the Ribbon.
Now can I also programmatically add a tab to a ribbon? Haven't found that possibility yet? Any of you?

Where the standard shows tabs Home, Actions, Navigate, Report, I would like to add as an example My Tab. See screen shot.

This was also the case when 2009 RTC came out and the very reason they've introduced the PromotedActionCategoriesML property.
Microsoft is aware of this and hopefully they solve the issue.
BTW: NAV2013 is shipped with a customised role for sales. What you see in the Cronus database is personalised data, not the representation of the page designer.
But MS applications like Office having programmatically customizable ribbons (if I read the "Internet" well).
OK, Dynamics is still different from "classic" MS ...
