Navision 4.0 SP3 (Update 6) Performance issue with SQL 2000

Hi All

Would like to request your help on the below.

Recently we converted Navision 4.0 SP1 (SQL 2000) database to Nav 4.0 SP3. (Executable upgrade). Used update 6 exe file (build 25143). After that patch with build 30698.

Now facing performance issue, system very slow. The statement takes much longer time to print.

Does this performance issue anything to do with SQL Indexhint?

In the build 30698, Is the SQL indexhint ON by default?

We tried to turn off Indexing Hint, but no improvement.

Please suggest to sort out the issue.

Thank you.

Regards
Nasheer.

Why did you do this upgrade? It's an old combination of everything. Who recomended this to you?

I'd like to put it more "drastical" than Mark: you're not just riding a dead horse, this one is also rotten and decayed

There are gazillion of reasons for degraded performance, thus there as many potential solutions. The very first step in your case might be to set up a system on actual versions ...

I guess NAV is one of the most important systems within your company - why would you run this on versions which are outdated - and unsupported! - for ages?
