cannot delete item 1hgh because ledger entries not closed

Hi guys i have one proplem i have item has quantity in inventory i want to rename it so that i close open entries and adjustment to it until be 0 in inventory but after that i try to rename it but it give me error message "you cannot delete item 1hgh because it has ledger entries in fisical year that has not been closed yet" why this proplem show and how i solve

Someone has modified that code crucially for some reason. When trying to rename an item, it will delete all items within the active filter. I strongly suggest you find out why all items should be deleted, and if possible change the code.
