Fixed Assets - multiple costcenter

KaetchenKaetchen Member Posts: 106
I am looking for someone who is familiar with Fixed Assets in Navision 3.01.

I try to depreciate a fixed asset with different cost center codes.
Obviously there is only one cost center allowed in the FA card.
If find it hard to believe that there is no possiblity to have multiple cost center codes for one FA.

Has someone experience with this problem?

Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Take a look at FA Allocations. You can access this through FA Posting Groups. Allocations is an option from the Depr. Book menu button. Select the type you want to allocate to open the FA Allocations table. Select the Line menu button to enter the dimension code for the GL Accounts.

    The following is from Help.

    FA Allocations Window
You use the FA Allocations window to allocate the amount in the fixed asset G/L journal or the recurring general journal to several accounts, departments and/or projects. That is, you allocate the amount to one or more balancing accounts. You can allocate various amount types, such as acquisition cost, depreciation and maintenance.

After you have set up the allocations, the program will automatically insert the account(s) you specified when you use the Reclassify function from the fixed asset reclassification journal or when you use the Insert FA Bal. Account function.

In the FA Allocations window, you must set up an allocation line for each part of the amount that will be allocated. You can enter various accounts on every fixed asset allocation line (if the fixed asset posting type will also be divided among several accounts). Alternatively, you can enter the same account, but with various department and/or project codes on each line.
