We have some clients who have been slow to upgrade NAV, but are using newer server software versions. This has always been doable eith executable only upgrades, even using NAV2009. With the introduction of NAV2013 will this even be possible? We're talking people on versions going all the way back to 2.0. I've been training on 2013, but haven't found the answer to this question yet. Thanks for your input.

The forms engine has been removed as well as the ODBC connection to SQL Server.

Microsoft will provide executable updates for the next few years to NAV 2009, so it may take until the 2020s to lose most of the old installs.
There will probably be ways of running all the old software, but the tech world will be dramatically different. I still know companies running 20 year old software for various reasons - not all money related. (I wonder if EDS is still running autocoder applications?)
It is just not where I choose to make my living.
