What function is used to Receive the mails without open the

Hi,
I have created one code unit for save the attached files from the unread mails. But the mails are not able to received until the application(outlook) is opened. How to receive the mails or refresh the inbox folder without open the outlook application. If anybody can give solution for this, it would be highly appreciable.
