Error "transaction header table cannot be changed"

Hi all.
i'm newbie. now, i have a problem about nav. when cashier paymented & post invoid on POS, systems is slowly and error:
"the transaction header table cannot be changed because it is locked by another user. wait until the user is finished and then try again"

Please help me. thanks for all.

This means that the resource is in use by another process.

The reason can be a lot of things, most likely another end-user with a slow running transaction.

Is this a new system or a system that has been running for a while?

If the latter, than you might want to look for things that have been changed this weekend.

Maybe a reindex of the database that is scheduled over weekend hangs/is not completed?

there are many promotion in my system and i think it's a reason???
