Hello all,
My NAV5.1 database is converted into NAV2009. it results below error message;

The database has already been converted by a newer program version.
You must upgrade Microsoft Dynamics NAV to the latest version in order to open the database.

I have not any backup. So can I use converted objects?
How can I convert it back to NAV5.1?

Regards
Darmaa

    it is not possible to degrade the database,also you cannot use the objects by importing it to NAV5.1 from NAV2009.
    So unfortunately there is no solution to this problem :( , if u find it anywhere please share it.

    thanks, Anand

    Actually, there is a way to downgrade database, but it is a bit of hack. I wouldn't do this on production DB, but technically if you running SQL it is possible to change version string in $ndo$dbproperty field databaseversionno. You can google re version strings.

    Obviously this is not possible for proprietary DB.

    Are you licensed to 2009? if so - the best way just to do technical upgrade on client machines.

    Hi mibuso.com world

    When at a NSC and have many NAV Servers and NAV Databases and trying to match up with a NAV Client and keep receiving "server cannot be opened... The database has already been converted by a new program version".

    I know that the Database Version No. can be obtained from $ndo$dbproperty and NAV checks this with its own Internal No. but has anybody created a routine that can give back what NAV Client Build No. this refers too?

    With thanks
