Excel workaround on Terminal Server

I am changing my current servers but I ran into a problem becuase of Excel.
I want to populate my report to Excel but I do not want to buy Excel I do have licenses but those are for each computer. And according to my vendor I need to pay excel per each license on Terminal server. Do you know if Excel viewer could work for me?
