Expected vs Actual Capacity Cost

Hi,

I'm having a very strange problem in Manufacturing Module where the Actual Capacity Cost in a Finished Production Order is zero while there is a value in the Expected Capacity Cost. The flushing method is Manual. I am using the 'Unit Cost Per' in the Routing lines as the 'Direct Unit Cost' in the Work Center is set as 0 with the 'Specific Unit Cost' ticked. This is because the client needs to set the unit costs for each production order.

Can you please suggest where the problem might lie?

Thanks in Advance!!

You didn't post the consumption and the output journal.

hi, thanks for your reply. I was only posting the Production Journal, the problem is that in the Routing Line for the Production Order when I choose Work Center it takes the RunTime Hours on the Production Journal while when I choose Machine Center it takes it as zero, since on the Machine Center Card it is zero. The client needs to enter the cost for each Prodcution Order, so these can't be pre-populated on the Machine Center.

Does this require a customisation (to fill in the Machine Center automatically from the Production Journal) or am I missing some setup?

Thanks a lot for your help

Change the Flushing Method to Backward on the Machine Center Card. Then it will post the default values from the Routing line when posting the following Routing Lines. If this is the only type of Routing Line (all lines to be posted as defaulted), you need to have another Routing Line as the last one containing a Machine Center with Flushing Method = Manual (cost could be zero) and on this line you post the output.
