How do topics get deleted?

I replied to a post & when I went back to check if there were any replies..i see the topic gone?

what happened?

but is see the reply when I click on "My Posts"

Postings of new users are put in a queue to be moderated. When the original (new) user modifies his first posting, the thread appears in the modators queue. Then the thread is not visible to users.
