Lot No. Problem

All the Item is using LotNO. for Item Tracking.
Now, I want to change the lot no. as I do not want the lot no. to be duplicated .
I want one lot no. per quantity.( Like the function of Serial No.)
Is there any methods that I can do to perform it and rename all the lot no. in series?
Please advice.
