Launch external software / hyperlink

Hi all,
Is it possible in NAV 2013 to launch an external software from the ribbon of a page ??? In NAV 5 we use the "RunObject" option of a button in a form to do that. I think this option is not available anymore in NAV 2013...Is it right ??? Someone know an alternate solution ???
Also, do you know if it's possible to add a file hyperlink in the Navigation Pane ??? For example: add a link to a Excel file...
