Dear All,

I have a strange issue with a client of mine which uses NAV5. They are using the windows login, but do not have an active directory. i have suggested the user to run NAV by using the Run As function so as to insert the windows login details which are set up ontot he server. For some strange reason if the same user had to go through remote desktop onto the server, there won't be any problems. When using NAV through the run as function the system is returning an incorrect password error.

Has anyone ever met this issue?

Thanks,

Steve

Think I have the same problem after moving an NAV 2009 server witthout AD to a network with AD. The user (added to administrators) can view all data in SQL. I think it's the SPN but not sure because you are using NAV 5.

They probably did not use a domain/workgroup prefix and the SPN's are not set or incomplete.
    Because computer1\user1 <> server1\user1.

But the fact that they don't even use a domein, is just asking for security-problems.
Check the SSIDs in the eventvwr of the users that login, you might see a mismatch in local and network logons of the same "user"

I am sure that they are setting the server\username mode as I have done it myself. As for the SPN, apologies but I'm not sure what you're referring to
