Hi!

I am relatively unexperienced with Navision and I am wondering about all the file types.

*.fbk = Navision backup file
*.fdb = Navision database file
*.flf = Navision license file
*.fob = Navision application objects
*.zup = Navision user preferences
fin.dmp = ?
fin.emt = ?
fin.etx = ?
fin.smt = ?
fin.stx = ?

Can anyone help me?

    the dmp one is a backup file from your exe (can be deleted)
    Now, let's see what we can see.

    fin.dmp = dump file
    fin.emt = error mini-tree (cache created from fin.etx)
    fin.etx = error texts (texts for errors) - string repository
    fin.smt = strings mini-tree (cache created from fin.stx)
    fin.stx = strings texts (texts for strings from application) - string repository

    The 1st letter 'f' means 'Financials' the surname of Navision Financials..
    (fdb,fbk,etc..)
