Depr % from FA Block to "Straight-Line %"

Hello Experts,
I was somehow under impression that once we choose FA Block in a new Fixed Asset the corresponding "Depreciation %" will get copied to "Straight-Line %" in "FA Depreciation Book".
But it doesn't look like so. Am I wrong?
