Our company:
Client side the computers are running Windows XP.
Server side we have Navision 2.01b running on Proliant ML350 G4 Windows 2003 and
Term Server with Citrix Metaframe for the ICA published app/Nav clients.
Because of end of life for Windows XP and Windows 2003 the company will upgrade.
The workstations will be Windows 7 x64.
The Proliant ML 350 G6 Server 2008 x64 will have a new installation Navision 2013.
We don’t have a Partner and no support. Our support ended in 2002. We got a quote from one potential partner. Is that quote reasonably locked in? Should we solicit additional quotes from other Navision Partners? We are located in Los Angeles – and the nationally known Partner in San Diego is far away. A Partner local to our location would be preferable.
And
The company is able to advantage of a end of year tax. Is there any disadvantage to buying Navision 2013 by the end of 2012 – and installing late in 2013? It’s all to do with budgeting. It’s buy it now and install later vs buying at the moment of install 2013.
Thanks

There is no disadvantage to buy now and implement a year later.
