Item (Base Unit of Measure)

Hi All,

I have created an item code in navision and I have assigned the base unit of measure as Box. When I click on look up button of base unit of measure, I can see Qty Per Unit of Measure as 1

My company expects to purchase one box (5 pcs inside this box) and when they key in the item into purchase order, they should be see as qty 1, but when navision receives and posts the receipt they want to see a 5 pcs inside the inventory available. When they sell they want to sell in pcs but when they purchase they want to buy in a box, but box has 5 pcs inside. How to setup the base unit of measure in this case and is this possible in navision 2009 sp1 Singapore Version

Set "Base Unit of Measure" to "PCS" (1 piece)

Set "Purchase Unit of Measure" to "BOX" (5 pieces)

Optionally, set "Sales Unit of Measure" to "PCS"
