Hi you all NAV-Gurus!
I am having some questions concerning warehouse shipping management and delivery date promising to the customer.
Let's say I want to promise the customer that he will get items on some specified date.
I can do that by typing in a requested or promised delivery date in the sales header.
The system is setup that it uses the base calender and calculate warehouse handling time and shiiping time to customer.
Question 1:

NAV will calulate a shipping date and will put it into the sales lines but not in the header - why is that??
Even if there could be different shipping dates because of availability, with the shipping advice complete ther can be only one shipping date??
Question 2:
=========
If I want several shipping dates and set the sales header to shipping advice "partial", if I then create warehouse pick it just generates on with the shipping date of the header??? So how could I get NAV to give correct info to our warehouse staff?
I hope anyone can help me because I do not really understand NAV standard behaviour.
