Cannot open sharepoint after Installing Portal Framework.

Hello Everyone,

I have successfully setup a virtual machine with Windows Server 2008r2 standard and SQK server 2008R2. I installed my SharePoint Foundation 2010 successfully. I then installed my Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013.

My problem is that every time I install the Portal Framework for SharePoint, I will not be able to access any SharePoint Site except the SharePoint 2010 Central Administrations site. If I try to access any other site I am asked for my Credentials and after I input my credentials I get a error saying "Internet explorer cannot display the webpage".

I am sure the problem is related to the Portal Framework for SharePoint because if I uninstall the Portal Framework, I can access all SharePoint sites, and If I install it again, The problem pops up.

Can any expert give me any pointers on what I should do to resolve this?

hi,

open the website with firefox/chrome. it will give you much about problem. (if you change settings of ie, it will also show about error much)

my case was compression.I disabled compression settings from web.config, and worked.

Your solution worked. Chrome and IE were not showing the actual problem but Firefox did. I disabled the compression setting in the web.config file and I am up and running.

Am now researching on what the compression setting I disabled are used for....
