Non-Pegged Receipt

I am new to NAV2009R2 classic.
Could anyone explain what is a non pegged receipt and what causes it to occur.
Would anyone offer solutions to resolve the problem?
The inventory in an Item card is different from the sum of the inventory in warehouses. And I have found that the missing inventories are the non-pegged receipt , location @ OWN LOGISTIC. Therefore, I think the non-pegged receipt is the problem causing different inventory in item card with the inventory in warehouse. How can I solve the problem ?
