1) Endless typing
Now accounting employees can focus on more productive tasks than typing. Document Capture analyzes the document layout and reads the data from the scanned image. It uses the previously defined document templates to put the data into the correct fields in Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

2) No more chasing approvers
When an invoice requires the attention of an approver, he will receive an email containing a link to Dynamics NAV or the browser based Document Capture Web portal. From here he can quickly get the details of the invoices for approval.

3) The end of chaotic archives

    Hi

    Our company has implemented Document Capture at one of our customers. They are using both the OCR and web approval module and are very happy with the solution. We are also having a lot of interest from other customers. Most customers have the need for this functionality but similar solutions have been far too expensive and there have never been a real NAV add-on like this.

    We have done something like 10 implementations over the last 2 years and it’s a good add on for automating purchase registration and approval. The OCR component works great and can handle most documents. Workflow is also good out of the box, but for 1 customer we have added some more logic to synchronize documents between multiple NAV databases.

    Yes, of course you can try it out as a partner. You need to know what you are selling or not selling...

    We actually provide all our partners with their own login to our demo server (Terminal Server). For each login there is an isolated environment with the whole solutions so that you can test the OCR, workflow, etc.. By using this server you don't have to install anything on you own computer and usually our partners also use this server when they demo the solution to customers. After you have messed around you can reset everything so you can start all over...

    Dear All,


    I see that this thread was dead for a while already, but I will reply anyway.

    In my company we are currently in the process of defining Functional Design for our NAV Document Capture and Management Solution.

    Shortly I will invite 2 parties:

    - IDYN (Continia) Document Capture
    - Blue10 Invoice Management

    After the presentations I will be able to tell something more about both. Currently I am more on the side of Document Capture, especially cause it is build in NAV and not "next to it".
    Document Capture seems also cheaper in maintenance and easie to modify / extend.

    If anyone has any questions then please feel free to ask (also in the meantime :))

    can you please shortly describe the installation/setup for continia "Document Capture" Software, vs. 3.50.07 for usage within Dynamics NAV? is there a online install guide (online help, pdf file) to find anywhere ?
